Cranborne Chase
Cranborne Chase, straddling Dorset, Hampshire, and Wiltshire in southern England, is a chalk downland plateau. Part of the Cranborne Chase and West Wiltshire Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), it boasts ancient earthworks and Neolithic archaeology. Once a medieval hunting forest, it spans 380 square miles, encompassing remnants of the Royal Forests of Selwood and Gillingham. The highest point, Win Green Down, stands at 910 feet (280 meters).
